Latest Release of Weight Control Management System Now Available

The latest version of Pinnacle's Weight Control and Center of Gravity Management system - LoadmaX has now been released with enhanced functionality to provide major benefits to oil and gas operators and their contractors.

The introduction of new comprehensive features now enables the system to be used not only during pre-production stages from conceptual or detailed design through fabrication / installation, but also with existing installations to assess the impact of on-going weight change proposals.

Further significant efficiencies can be achieved when LoadmaX is used in association with the latest version of Pinnacle’s QuantimaX material takeoff system. Weight control data is generated automatically from material takeoff and transferred to LoadmaX. The weight control engineer then assigns Centre of Gravity coordinates and reviews revisions.

PAENAL

Pinnacle awarded contract by PAENAL to provide a comprehensive material traceability quality control system for their fabrication yard at Porto Amboim in Angola.

The MatriX MTQC (material traceability quality control) system will be used to support all fabrication projects at PAENAL’s yard, including the recently awarded module and associated FPSO construction and integration works for the CLOV FPSO for Total.

The PAENAL yard was created in 2007 to provide fabrication facilities for topsides modules and FPSO integration in Angola for the oil and gas industry. PAENAL is owned by SBM Offshore, DSME (Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering) and Sonangol.
