Weld Procedure Documentation

WeldmaX is a comprehensive system for creating, cataloguing and managing weld procedure documentation, including procedure qualification records, weld procedure proposals and weld procedure specifications. The system catalogues and controls all your document files and assists in the creation of new documents.

The main benefits lie in the functions of the system that provide facilities to enable total customisation of forms, documentation and reports as well as the actual information content. The welding engineer has total control over what information items (key fields) are present in the system.

Templates for Procedure Qualification Records, Weld Procedures Proposals and Weld Procedures Specifications are provided as a basis. These can easily be customised by the welding engineer for company and QA/QC standards with specific customisation by client / project also being available if required.

Using WeldmaX, the welding engineer does not need to be an expert in word processing. All the information is entered and maintained within the WeldmaX application. With one click of the mouse the weld procedure information is generated directly from the WeldmaX database into the pre-formatted weld procedure documentation (PQR, WPP and WPS) templates.

This gives the advantage of having a structured set of information (in the WeldmaX database) which can be easily searched, copied and modified without having to maintain hundreds of individual documents. These are managed and controlled by the system and can be generated and printed for project, client and certifying authoritiy as required.

PQR, WPP and WPS information and documents can all be maintained in a single library. A powerful multi-level search facility is provided, enabling the user to find and locate procedures containing welds and associated attributes according to user specified selection criteria.

For example, locating all documentation for a specific weld process, position and material specification is easily achieved by using the powerful search facilities provided within the system.

WeldmaX also provides the ability to catalogue weld / joint sketches and drawings which are normally present in weld procedure documentation.

Individual drawings can easily be inserted and included into the appropriate welding procedure document as required.

WeldmaX is a fully scalable system, available as a stand-alone or client server application. Easy to use, WeldmaX delivers all the benefits associated with a sound business investment - such as cost reduction, improved efficiency, enhanced control and availability of information. Significantly, however, it is also backed up by comprehensive off-site support services.

The system has specifically been designed to require minimal intervention or support.

All clients are offered assistance with installation and start-up, although the system's intrinsic ease of use means that such help is often not required. In addition, specialist on-site training can be tailored to suite the needs of the individual users.

Once WeldmaX is installed and operational, support is provided through a HelpDesk facility at Pinnacle Business Solutions - and a remote dial-in support option is also available if required.
